Description
FERTAN bodywork and stone guard form an elastic layer with a fine-grained structure, which provides a resistant protection against stones, road debris and water
FERTAN body and stone guard protects against petrol, oil, water and salt. In addition, the product has excellent damping and sound absorbing properties.
The product is made of synthetic resin and contains no bitumen or tar constituents. It can be over-painted with all common acrylic paints.
Particularly good adhesion to steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminium and polyester laminates.
The 1 litre containers have a standard 38mm thread for connection to a schutz gun.
Preparation of the substrate for optimal adhesion
Shake well before use
Before applying, clean and degrease the surface, eg FERTAN Silicone Remover
Cover areas and parts that are not to be coated, eg brakes, exhaust, catalytic converter, etc.
Pretreat surfaces
Steel: Degrease and if necessary grind
Galvanized sheets: Matt with abrasive wool and degrease
Aluminium: Matt with abrasive wool and degrease
Stainless steel: Degrease
Polyester laminates: Degrease, sand with sandpaper P80 – P120 and degrease again
When applied directly to steel, a primer is recommended.
Processing pressure and nozzle
Apply with spray gun, nozzle approx. 4 mm and 2-4 bar working pressure. Lower pressure for an increased structure on the surface.
Overpainting
60 minutes after application at approx. 20 ° C at the earliest.
Theoretical consumption
1 liter at 100 μm thickness sufficient for approx. 3-4 m² area.
Storage
Store in dry and cool room, avoid direct sunlight.
Protect from ignition and heat sources.
Can be stored at 20 ° C for approx. 2 years in the original unopened container.
