Description

FeDOX Rust Remover (Concentrated) is specially developed for de-rusting of steel parts and inner tank surfaces.
FeDOX can be diluted in water, with a maximum dilution ratio of 1:10. The parts to be derusted are then immersed in the solution. The solution can be heated up to 65°C for faster derusting. The duration of derusting varies depending on the thickness of the parts. Flash rust is removed within 15-45 minutes while a thicker layer of rust takes up to 12-24 hours of time. Post derusting the components should be washed with water and coated thereafter immediately with any kind of waxes (ex. Protewax) or primers (ex. FERPOX Epoxy Primer or MM30 Multi Metal Coating).

FeDOX is a corrosion remover.  After treatment the metal is bright, with no corrosion.  Fedox has two principal uses:

  • Corrosion removal from the inside of motorcycle and car tanks.

Fedox and hot water are mixed inside the fuel tank at a ration of 1:10.

After treatment and rinsing the inside of the tank is treated with Fertan Rust Converter.

If a permanent fuel proof liner is required Tapox Tank Sealer is used.

 

  • Corrosion removal from components.

Fedox and hot water are mixed in an open container and the components are placed in the container.  The ration can vary from 1:10 to 1:3 as required.

After treatment the components are rinsed and protected as required.  For engine components this may be wiping with oil.  For other items the process may be Fertan Rust Converter followed by one of the other Fertan protective products.
